Vazen is visionary artist, singer-songwriter/producer Michael Vanasek. As a self-taught musician, Vanasek explores his eclectic taste drawing inspiration from a versatile array of styles and influences which includes elements of funk, HipHop and R&b/Soul. Referring to his musical style as Psychedelic Soul music, Vanasek often takes the approach of a singer-songwriter with genre bending pop appeal.

Michael Vanasek began his journey learning songwriting/production after spending his formative years playing cover gigs and performing solo acoustic shows in 2010 following a 5 year college football career at Augustana University (SD). After losing interest in playing songs not his own back in Minneapolis, he began teaching himself all there is to know about the production process and began developing collaborative relationships with local artists/songwriters while honing in on his unique sound.
